Start Archery Week gives people all over Great Britain and Northern Ireland the chance to try archery for the first time.
Events will take place from 6-14 May across the UK at clubs and other providers. We will be running ours on Sunday the 7th of May.
Visitors of all abilities and ages will be able to have a go at archery, delivered by our amazing team of qualified archery coaches and volunteers. There are no limits as to who can do archery – it’s for everybody regardless of physical ability. It also has numerous health and wellbeing benefits and is well documented as a confidence-boosting sport. Just give it a go!
All equipment will be provided so participants just need to bring themselves and plenty of enthusiasm!
Is there an age limit?
We recommend children are age 10+ to take part in any of our events or courses.
What do I need?
All equipment will be provided. For a Start Archery Week event the kit provided typically includes a bow, arrows, an arrow stand or quiver, an arm guard and a target. Dress for the weather and wear flat shoes. Long hair should be tied up and any jewellery should be covered or tucked away.
I’m busy during Start Archery Week, can I take part on other dates?
We run beginners courses and have-a-gos throughout the year. Keep an eye on our events page or add us on Facebook to be alerted to any new dates.
